Billy Smallwood
Billy Smallwood (Group Analyst (M.Inst.GA), BEdHons, PGDipTCC)is Clinical Director for Witherslack Group the UK's leading education provider for children and young people for special educational needs.
Billy oversees the clinical direction and strategy, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained across all locations. Her leadership and clinical insights play a pivotal role in shaping the services provided to children and young people with complex needs.
Billy has had extensive practice and strategic management experience within specialist schools, residential and foster care within the NHS, charity and independent sectors and specializes in developing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic models of practice to meet children and young people’s social, emotional, and mental health needs.





Helen Dunn
Helen is a UK trained Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing assessment and intervention for children and young people.
As Clinical Lead/Manager, Helen has extensive experience in providing line management and clinical supervision, supporting her colleagues to deliver the best care. She is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where children, young people and staff can thrive.
Helen has been a member of Witherslack Group Clinical Services since September 2020 and she looks forward to bringing the skills and knowledge from Witherslack Group success in the UK over to the UAE.
Dr Azi Berzengi
Dr Azi is a UK-trained Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience in the UK and UAE. He specialises in assessments and interventions for children with neurodevelopmental, emotional, and educational needs.
Alongside his clinical work, he is actively engaged in clinical research and trains and supervises professionals across the UK and Middle East. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Swedish, Dr Azi provides culturally sensitive care, combining psychodynamic and existential insights with evidence-based approaches such as ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and MBT.




Laura Foley
Laura is a Speech and Language Therapist with a BSc.Honours Degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Since graduating in 2013, she worked in clinical, educational and hospital settings for four years before moving to the UAE in 2017. In this time Laura has developed a wealth of experience in supporting children presenting with a range of communication.
Laura is passionate about holistically supporting children to reach their potential and advocates for training and collaborating with parents/caregivers/ teaching staff and relevant professionals.
Laura is certified in; SOS Feeding Therapy, Elklan Speech and Language Support for 5-11s, Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Lamh sign language, Resilience training, First Aid and Basic lifesaving, Autism and communication, Autism and Sensory Processing, Autism Learning Styles.
